An exercise program doesn’t have to mean lifting weights, pulling on rubber straps, or using an exercise machine. There is a tremendous array of athletic options available, and almost anyone can participate in some form of sport.

Keeping to an exercise program might seem like an unwanted burden on top of everything else required by a disability, but even small amounts of regular exercise can make a remarkable difference in a short period of time, and results more than compensate for whatever inconveniences the exercise entails. The Center will function based on the belief that regardless of the level of disability, individuals can be physically active in ways that benefit their general fitness and help maintain a more positive attitude and spirit.

The Center will offer a comprehensive sports program for adults and children with physical disabilities and will include:

  • Locker rooms
  •  A full-size gymnasium
  • Staff that will take an inclusive approach to the development of programs that promote self-sufficiency, personal empowerment and independence for people with disabilities, including non-ambulatory individuals and those with substantial functional limitations.
