When SCI occurs, aside from the emotional burden of shock, disbelief, and fear, many people feel overwhelmed by how much they don’t know about the injury. To understand one’s diagnosis and find out about treatment options can be the beginning of the process of regaining some control over the situation.
The living solution center will offer a wealth of information resources that cover all aspects of SCI from symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment to coping, wellness, and even palliative care. We believe patients and families need not try to grasp everything all at once, so the solution center of resources can be signed out and used from the comfort of home. Resources can be returned to the Center in person or by mail. Printed materials, audio, and video formats will all be made available.
